Ben Pederson was born in 1979 in Grand Rapids Michigan and received his B.A. in Studio Art from Aquinas College in 2003. He went on to obtain his M.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2007. After graduate school Ben moved to New York where he works as an art handler and continues to make and show work locally and nationally. In 2013 Ben was invited to be the resident artist at Materials For The Arts in Queens, NY, as well as a participant at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. In January of 2015 he was a resident at Yaddo, in Saratoga Springs, NY.
