Nung-Hsin Hu ??? was born 1981 in Taiwan. In 2006 she moved to New York to pursue her MFA in Fine Arts at Long Island University. Since she earned her MFA in 2009, Hu primarily has been working in sculpture, installation, and video. She has exhibited in the U.S. and abroad including 2013 SCOPE New York. In 2008, Hu was honored with the Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture from the International Sculpture Center. In 2010 she received the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning – Van Lier Fellowship, Taipei Artist Village – Boundary-Break-Through Project Grant, the NYFA-Mentoring Program for Immigrant Artists and the fellowships from the I-Park residency, CT, the Casa das Caldeiras residency in São Paulo, Brazil, as well as the Taipei Artist Village residency in Taipei, Taiwan. Nung-Hsin currently is participating chashama studio program in Brooklyn Army Terminal and working as Associate Coordinator in New New Yorkers Program at Queens Museum of Art.
