Sung Jin Choi is a sculptor and installation artist. He studied fine art at Seoul National University and received M.F.A. from Hunter college in NYC. His work engages with investigations into serial repetition, familiar forms from the mass-production ethos of modern culture. It involves with acoustic gesture from everyday life - such as everyday objects, human behaviors, natural phenomenon. He has exhibited his works in Korea, China and United State. Also, He had been Triangle Art Workshop in NYC and a scholarship from The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. Recently, Sung Jin is a faculty member at School of Visual Arts and at the Hunter College in NYC. Sung Jin currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY as a resident of the Chashama Studio Program.
