Nathan Wasserbauer received his MFA from the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia in 2006 and his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1997. His work deals with the passage of time on micro and macrocosmic levels, exploring both elemental and metaphysical concepts. Recent exhibitions include: Lesley Heller Workspace, New York, NY 2014 Dillon Gallery, New York, NY 2014 BRIC Arts Media House, Brooklyn, NY 2013 Nathan Wasserbauer is a professor in the Art Department of SUNY Nassau, Long Island NY. He has lectured at Hofstra University, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Wasserbauer has been awarded a full fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center, Jentel Artist Residency in Banner Wyoming, and is currently a resident of the Chashama Workspace Program in Brooklyn, New York, where he lives with his wife and 4 cats.
